Horses and Grooms

Evarné's Horse Hotel
Fresh bedding is provided in the light and airy stabling that accommodates four horses. Basic roughage (eragrostis and teff) are available, but any additional dietary requirements must be provided by the owner. There are tack and feed rooms and an ablution facility in the stable block. Horse box parking is available close to the stables. Horses can roam free in secure paddocks with access to fresh water and shade next to the stables.
Assistance with mucking out stables is available on request.
Basuto
Due to the rocky and hilly terrain the Basuto ponies were continually ridden over (often at great speeds), they developed into tough, sure-footed animals with great stamina and courage.
The (separate) Basuto Grooms’ Cottage has accommodation for two grooms. The kitchen area is complete with cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Bed linen and towels are supplied for the bedroom and bathroom, and the cottage is in sight of the stables.
